Introduction

Dr Mondher Sahli is an Associate Professor in Economics and a member of the Centre d’Etudes sur le Tourisme en Océanie-Pacifique (CETOP) at Université de la Polynésie Française (UPF). He is also an adjunct Professor at the Wellington School of Business and Government, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

His research focuses on tourism economics, international trade, and economic development. Dr Sahli is a leading expert on the analysis of the impact of tourism on economic growth and welfare in host countries.

Dr Sahli has published in a wide range of high-quality international journals and won several awards for his contributions to the discipline of tourism economics. He is currently the Secretary-General of the International Association for Tourism Economics (IATE) and a member of the editorial board of the journal Tourism Economics.
